ASPCA | Traumatized Puppy Mill Dog Makes Amazing Recovery

Project Description

I produced, directed, conducted interviews, and edited this video for the ASPCA.

This video tells the story of Coconut, a dog rescued from a puppy mill in Michigan, that due to under-socialization, was too traumatized to be adoptable. For that reason Coconut was sent to The ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center where he underwent a massive transformation.

The video was edited together from found footage of Coconut’s recovery that was filmed by the ASPCA behavior staff. The behavior staff films many of these animal evaluations for research and documentation purposes.

This video has been viewed 2,730,857 times on YouTube and was adapted into a direct response television commercial for the ASPCA starring Deborah Norville of Inside Edition.
