2016 ASPCA Calendar Videos

Posted on December 15, 2015 · Posted in production log

NEW YORK CITY — I just finished another successful year producing the ASPCA calendar videos. This year I added a short branded animation to the beginning all of the videos. To do this I used Pond5’s Custom 3D Calendar Animation template and customized it to fit the ASPCA Branding. You can see the results below.

I produced, filmed and edited this series for the ASPCA.

A Weekend of New Beginnings

MOULTON, AL – On June 30, acting at the request of local law enforcement, the ASPCA assisted in the rescue and removal of 300 dogs and cats from a neglectful animal shelter in Moulton, Alabama. Now, nearly one month later, we are thrilled to announce that the majority of the rescued animals are happily in forever homes. Some were reunited with loving families in the weeks following the raid, while approximately 250 others were placed up for adoption at an ASPCA adoption event in Hillsboro, Alabama, on July 25 and 26.

At the event, more than 900 people from Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and the surrounding areas came to show their support—and 202 dogs and cats were adopted!

2015 ASPCA Calendar Videos

Posted on November 29, 2014 · Posted in production log

NEW YORK CITY — After a successful test-run in 2014, the ASPCA re-assigned me the task of producing a behind-the-scenes video series about the making of their 2015 calendar. The calendar is a yearly gift to qualifying ASPCA donors and features the stories of the organizations employees and their adopted pets. The videos supplement the calendar’s online presences, which includes additional photos and stories. They are also used to market the calendar, for fundraising, and to spread the message about animal adoption.

I produced the series as a one-man-band (producer, shooter, editor). I operated the camera, recorded the audio, conducted the interviews, and edited for all of these productions.

The gear I used included: Canon XF-305 camera, Sennheiser shotgun and lavaliere microphones, and the videos were edited in Adobe Premiere CS6.

All of the videos that I produced for the 2015 calendar are embedded below. I hope you enjoy them!
